I have a wide diet, my tastes have changed on this pregnancy but otherwise I eat well and eat loads of food both at home and when I go out. I'm sure on netmums there is a page on eating that you can use.
Is the yogurt from a major supermarket? I so it will be pasteurised, they have to declare Unpasteurised but don't always say pasteurised. Stay positive it will become easier, join a due date club on netmums and the other mums will help and support you.
On my group at the moment they are posting pictures of their dinners and sharing cravings. Good luck! I was panicking the other week because I had beef from the Chinese and it was so thin I knew it was cooked but it looked slightly pink so I panicked for days over that!
God my diet sounds awful doesn't it?! I've been eating little and often and mostly what I consider to be healthy stuff so a small handful of nuts, a clementine, a banana, baby carrots, rice cakes etc and mostly salads or Bolognese for lunch. I've been craving anything and everything and I'm always starving hungry. If I don't eat little and often I get light-headed and feel like I'm going to pass out!
I hate cooking and my OH does it, pre-pregnancy he would ask me what I wanted for dinner and I would say anything now I'm like 'I want a jacket potato with butter and it must have tuna, sweetcorn and red onion in it' lol last night when he went to the chippy I asked for sausage chips and mushy peas, he forgot the peas and I was distraught!
Before I was pregnanct, I'd cut out wheat and gluten and a lot of dairy, I'd hardly eat crisps chocolate etc and typically now i'm pregnant all I want is sandwiches, lasagne, crisps and lots of cheese - cheddar mainly.
I went to visit my friend in hospital the other night and bought a cheese from the supermarket to take with me because I knew I'd be hungry, I ate half of it before I went in, next morning I was delving in my hand bag and found the half eaten cheese - how embarrassing!
So far the hunger and sore boobs have been my main symptoms along with some tiredness. This is my first pregnancy and as you can tell I worry about everything, I just want to make sure I do right by my baby xx. Pet hair remover that's highly effective and purse-friendly! Pet Hair Roller Buy now. I stopped drinking tea as soon as I found out. I don't smoke or drink, and the chippy is world famous and always has a queue out the door, I wouldn't trust them if that wasn't the case xx. Aaw hon, don't feel so bad.
What's wrong with a sausage from the chippy? I had many fried pizza suppers from the chippy while pregnant if that makes you feel any better? Sometimes you just need a decent bit of stodge and there is nothing wrong with that. I also had caffeine in my second pregnancy as by that point I had a toddler and was back at work full time so I'd have fallen asleep otherwise!
Have a look at Ready Steady Baby type into google it is great for helpful not scary advice. I'm sure you are fine and your baby too, don't worry. Hope you enjoyed the sausage and stuff anyone who criticises you for that Good luck with your pregnancy!
Hi Claire. Please try not to worry. Yes, Greek yogurt will make a nutritious addition to your diet. It will supply all the nutrients that you need on a daily basis. But you have to ensure that it is made using pasteurized milk. Greek yogurt made with unpasteurized milk may contain Listeria, a bacterium that can cross the placenta, leading to a potentially life-threatening infection to the baby.
It can also cause miscarriage. Greek yogurt contains a variety of vitamins that help supplement what you need for a healthy pregnancy. Calcium is a mineral that you will require in high amounts during pregnancy. It can lead to a deficiency of calcium in your body. Calcium is synonymous with Greek yogurt. We all know that protein is a nutrient that you need in double amount during pregnancy.
Protein also supports the development of the child and supplies you with all the energy you need to grow a healthy human being. Greek yogurt contains the double amount of protein as the regular varieties of yogurt. Greek yogurt can solve the problem of bloating during pregnancy.
Indigestion and gastritis are a common issue during the third trimester of pregnancy. Consuming yogurt along with meals will help you eat the hard-to-digest foods comfortably. Greek yogurt contains less sugar than regular yogurt, making it perfect for women watching their weight. The high amounts of protein in Greek yogurt will satiate you for longer.
It will curb your hunger between the meals when you are trying to lose weight. It will also control your cravings for junk food. I've munched any yoghurts I've fancied throughout pregnancy and am a bit addicted to Muller corner orange with chocolate balls. Not to eat more than two time of tuna per week. These are what I've stuck by for whole pregnancy but had the odd runny fried egg or non-baked cheesecake as I missed them lots at times.
All yoghurt is fine - problem is only with non pasteurised milk but all yoghurt is pasteurised. It's very good for you for calcium and also it can help in preventing thrush.
