Melee should be aware that his AoE stomp hits for around k on medium armor. Seems this is easier for Alliance that a guaranteed death at the hands of the Thrallmar mobs. Comment by FYI, There are two different fel reavers patrolling around, on different paths east and west. This was confirmed by myself and a party member looking at two different fel reavers at the same time while trying to find one to kite into thrallmar. Comment by warhowl still doable as always :. Comment by Mubaris Did this yesterday, so still works after 2.
I didn't even die. I used a shock and ran 20 feet into the caravan taking only k dmg per hit. I didnt even die I threw down an Earth Elemental totem and he tanked it!
Comment by Since the new patch every Fel Reaver I see skates around like he has wheels on his feet and doesn't walk. Comment by It's a lot easier, for horde, to pull the Fel Reaver to the elite mages outside Thrallmar, who kill those infernals. They kill it faster. You still need to take off equipment if you want to save durability though.
Comment by VERY easily soloed as a level 70 warlock because of the suggestions above. The east Fel Reaver has a path that goes right past both Honor Hold and Thrallmar, all you have to do is pull him towards the guards who finish him off quite nicely.
I was amazed that it actually worked, I am used to hearing comments like, "I soloed the first boss in Heroic Mech, he's super easy" when they neglect to mention that they're in full teir 6 and have all the consumables in the world. These can easily be soloed by a class without any buffs or even gear on at all. Comment by Kitable to the NPCs outside of Thrallmar the mages if you pick the reaver up when he passes by.
For hordies who think that they can do this without losing Durability: If the infernals start spawning as you get to the mages, you will keep getting stunned as long as the NPCs spawned. All I did was slap a Vampiric Embrace on the dude but the repeated stuns lasted long enough for him to kill me Thankfully after he was done with me he aggrod the NPCs and all was well. I'm quite sure alliance are capable of doing this as well, though they will die to the guards. Comment by NPCs at the 'caravan' are actually located at 58, Look for Arcanist Torseldori and her army of 8 or so elite mages.
Stand a little to the east of the group of NPCs to snag the fel reaver when it comes by. I stood at 59,41 and aggrod it while mounted and ran to the mages. Worked like a charm. Note, my internet dropped out the first time the fel reaver passed me by, and I had to wait 15 minutes for it to show up again. So make sure to snag it the first time it runs by or you got a long wait for it to show up again. Comment by Tried to pull him into town but only two guards attacked him there, That try ended with me and two npc guards dead :P Second time I got caught up in the blast and couldn't move.
Right at the mages outside town. He killed me easy and then attacked the mages just like u other people here said and they kille dhim pretty quick.
I've put up a screen that shows it. Comment by Alliance - soloed on my shaman engaged kited around mages so he ran through them soon as they had it engaged just kicked back and through lightning bolts at it. Comment by all ways look for these guys cause the wonder alomst everywhere in hellfire. Comment by magatok Just kited him to thrallmar elite mages on east side patch 2.
Comment by Archon As of September , Fel Reaver cannot be kited to Honor Hold and left there. Guards of Honor Hold don't aggro him, and aren't affected by War Stomp had a guard yards close to Reaver when he stomped However, Honor Hold Cavalrymen still attack him they aggro every single mob they see , so you can use that free DPS from them :.
Comment by Did it today as a NElf Hunter Tried the HH caravan and even got it into the city on the same kite but nothing worked, so I went to Thrallmar and it worked.
Comment by Very easy with a group of 3. Also 2 is possible. Just did it with my resto shammy and a mage. I tanked 11k armor and healed myself, while mage nuked him down. I want more - xP Thank you very much. Comment by U can solo this dude a. The mages started fighting him alright, I died in the process, ghost walked back, waited for it to be killed It stayed on the ground for about 3 seconds. Comment by solinvictus To aggro the felreaver to the horde mages you have to get him hit by blizzard.
The reaver will aggro them when hit by it and then the horde will retaliate. Comment by Buzku Worked today. I aggroed it, ran through the horde elites and died Comment by Ayvalen For a creature so massive in size and sound he's surprisingly stealthy. I've had a few close calls with this guy as he snuck up on me from behind. Comment by If you're taking these bad boys down, make sure to get them alone, as adds can spoil the fight for ya.
A good group of folks shouldn't have much of an issue with them, but anyone who doesn't need to be in melee range should stay back and do their thing. As a side note, my friend and I resto shammy and prot pally, respectively duo these all the time. I used rank 5 seal of light, rank 5 judgment of light, rank 1 holy shield, rank 2 greater blessing of sanctuary, talented righteous fury, rank 8 devotion armor, four super mana pots, two divine shields, six rank 11 holy lights, and one lay on hands, but no elixirs or flasks or other buffs.
It dropped Violation reported , damage done, 90, damage taken, 80, healing done 1, overhealing , dps! Comment by Either I'm very unlucky today, or it's nearly impossible to solo it now using the way to bring Reaver to thrallmar caravan. I'm alliance shaman btw. If it is, here are a few tips to try: 1 Use a low-rank range spell or something to attract Fel Reaver.
At first attempt I used my max rank lightning bolt and it was a crit. After I kited Reaver to caravan elites, they cast a few blizzards, but that wasn't enough to agro Reaver, so he resetted when I died. I sat back relaxing. When he died, infernal attacked started immediately, I decided to wait until it ends, and Fel Reaver corpse despawned in about 10 seconds after he died.
What's worse, it seems to be delayed when the caravan's busy, like fightning Fel Reaver. I've tried the trick 5 times, when fel reaver's close to death I resurrect and run to it, ready to click the quest item, but I always don't have enough time until infernals start falling and stun me.
After seconds Reaver's corpse despawns, maybe because of the invasion script infernals also despawn very quickly , maybe you have to damage him too. Anyways a horde player can probably have enough time to get the key until Reaver despawns. Here are also some numbers if anyone wants to try: - infernals invade once every 5 minutes, starting each hour at 0 minutes, but if caravan's busy, it will delay up to minutes to start immediately after mobs exit combat.
Comment by krufar The fell reaver is solo-able for a Protection Paladin with seal of light, you'll stay on the edge of where your ardent defender kicks in. And then just be patient. Fel reavers cover ground with incredible speed, due to their long legs and an internal power core that is "powered by a scalding core of fel fire" that "burns much hotter than normal fire", [1] and cannot be fueled by nether gas.
It is said that the cunning mo'arg engineers of the Burning Legion pushed their gan'arg workers for weeks in the construction of the first fel reaver, a massive construct that could easily raze fortified towers or tear the wings off an airborne gryphon.
The forge camps then began to mass-produce these fel reavers to smash the mortal forces of Outland. Currently not much else is known about the reavers' construction or origin beyond that. The Burning Legion uses them as sentinels all around Hellfire Peninsula, including around their forges to the north Rage and Mageddon to oversee the work on their cannons.
Much of what is known about fel reavers comes from observing the Fel Reavers in Hellfire Peninsula, which patrol around the region, killing unprepared travelers that wander within range.
Two locations in Hellfire Peninsula are based around ruined fel reavers. Reaver's Fall , in eastern Hellfire Peninsula , is the location of remains of a destroyed fel reaver, with a handful of trolls, orcs, and tauren cheering and dancing around the fel debris. At this area, players can execute bombing runs against the legion front.
