That can be applied to anyone, especially those who are pre-med. And even those who are pre-med from which I have seen have a pretty well-rounded life. Harder majors require greater sacrifices especially socially. And you can not deny that it is a commonly held belief in asian culture that becoming a doctor is the holy path to a stable and successful life.
So in other words, yes this is stereotyping but when you ask a question like "So what is Hopkins like? I'm not saying that this is for the better or worse, i am simply reporting a significant side of hopkins that prospective students should to be aware of. I disagree - a lot of us are friends with many different social groups, which is nice about Hopkins. If you're looking at schools as good as Hopkins and are worried about nerdy people, you probably should look elsewhere.
